Fiddler on the Roof, Nov 6 - 22, 2025
Winner of nine Tony Awards when it debuted in 1964, touching audiences worldwide with its humor, warmth and honesty, this universal show is a staple of the musical theatre canon.
Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia. Rich in historical and ethnic detail, Fiddler on the Roof's universal theme of tradition cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.

Starring: Zane Mitton as Tevye, Lisa Koziol as Golde, and a cast of 40 colorful villagers and Russians making Anatevka come alive.

Welcome to the cast of the 2025 OVAC production of Fiddler on the Roof.
We are ecstatic to offer for you the listed parts. Please know that the decisions made were thought out with great care. Casting a play with about 40 parts and having 74 audition made for some difficult decisions. But here we go! Please be thoughtful of those that were not cast.
Many things went into the criteria. A huge factor is availability dates. Rehearsing with missing actors can waste everyone’s time and as a director I strive to not waste anyones precious time including my own. Please honor your commitment to this show and those you will be working with by being diligent in your attendance. This crew can’t wait to start working with this cast!

Located 20 miles south of Burley in the beautiful Snake River plains of South Central Idaho, we are the OAKLEY VALLEY ARTS COUNCIL.
Occupying the HISTORIC 1907 HOWELLS OPERA HOUSE, we produce musical and theatrical productions year-round and an annual Christmas Concert thanks to the efforts of our devoted volunteers.

Our mission
Our mission as a non-profit is three-fold:
1) Promote and encourage the performing arts.
2) Produce local musical and theatrical productions, providing the opportunity for the valley and surrounding areas to participate in live performances.
3) Maintain and improve the property known as Howells Opera House.
